The Art of Thomas Haller Buchanan
I am very happy to report that a monograph of my artwork is now available for purchase, funded by a Kickstarter Campaign, backed by wonderful folks from all over the world!
The 96-page full color book shows a batch of my drawings and finished portraits that emphasize the visual aspect of humanism and features:
studies of remarkable and intriguing people
my thoughts about art and our society,
the challenges and fun of working from old photos and movies,
the demonstration of some of the processes I use to visually capture the essence of what I love about people.
I included some fantasy work because I like to capture people in ways that transcend ordinary day-to-day life. Many of the works have unique and lovely background art in collaboration with my studio partner, Willa Haller.
